Dr. Ronald G. Jans is a specialist in Corneal and External Diseases of the eye and has been performing Refractive Corneal Surgery since 1991. He was instrumental in obtaining the first VISX Excimer laser in Calgary and the second in Canada. He is a leader and respected refractive surgeon across Canada. Dr. Jans was the first president of the Canadian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (1991-1992) and is still an active member. He has been involved with many clinical research projects involving laser refractive surgery and was a Physician Trainer for the Visx Laser Company from 1998-2000. Dr. Jans' considerable knowledge and skill are used to his patients' advantage.
